RESPECT.

RESPECT.

That is the word I think of when the Supreme Court comes to my mind this evening. They knew there would be massive backlash, largely from the far left, and largely in the form of “Mostly peaceful protests”. They knew they would be threatened, both in real life and on the interwebs. They were fully aware that this decision would bring them massive unpopularity, largely from the media.

But they did it anyway. Despite all this, they overturned Roe v. Wade. But why? I understand that this was a majority decision, and doesn’t necessarily reflect the views of the full court, and I would never claim to understand the minds of some of the smartest people in our government, but I have a guess; They made this decision because they believed in something greater than a political agenda. Bigger than a religious belief. They believed in upholding the Constitution of the United States of America (Which, I might add, is their literal job).

That is why, When I think of the Supreme Court, I think of one word.
